My name is Jonny Eberle. I’m a writer, filmmaker and photographer. I live in Tacoma, WA in a 110-year-old house with my wife and daughter, our dog and three adorable typewriters.
My short stories Pyrocene, Firemaker, Bad Air and Bitter Herbs, How to Steal Copper Wire, The Disappeared, Inheritance, The Cannibals of Kitsap and The Observable Universe have been published by Creative Colloquy, Grit City Magazine and All Worlds Wayfarer. I’m currently working on several short stories and a novel about the Las Vegas Mob. See my publications.
I’m passionate about storytelling in all its forms, whether it’s through the written word, films, or photography. I recently dipped my toe into the world of audio drama, writing, editing and producing a fiction podcast, The Adventures of Captain Radio. I’ve even tried my hand at penning a full-length stage play.
I’m a graduate of Northern Arizona University, where I studied Journalism and Political Science, I have a certificate in Strategic Communications and Public Relations from Portland State University and I’m the founder of Obscure Studios, an independent production studio. I’ve been blogging on this site since 2011.
In addition to my creative pursuits, I also love to travel. I’ve been privileged to visit some of the most beautiful places on earth, from the marble steps of the Parthenon to the verdant hills of Pachaj to the windswept fjords of Patagonia. Read my travel writing.
